'25-'26 Budget Information

DCS Community,
In May, we'll ask you to cast your vote on the budget for the upcoming school year. To date, the State of New York has not yet adopted their own budget which makes it difficult for schools to plan a budget. Still, school districts must adopt a budget on a very tight calendar. For the 2025-2026 school year, the District is proposing a 1.6% increase in spending (year-to-year) and a 1.8% increase in the tax levy. In order to present a balanced budget, certain cuts, shares, and the use of reserves are necessary actions. This is a trend that will likely continue in future years. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the proposed budget. As more information develops, it will be added to this page. If you have questions about the budget, you can reach out directly to the superintendent, Denise Cook, at [email protected]
